Myself, Ronald Hurst, founder of “Ronhurst Digital Artist”. I served the US Navy as a Special Intelligence Operative and retired as a Nuclear Supply Director from Mare Island Naval Shipyard.
Personally, I discovered my love of art and photography during my childhood years. Both my parents were the finest artist of their generation. My father, a perfect musician in his younger years and a wood carver after his retirements and my mother was a talented artist attaining some fame worldwide from the 60’s to the early 90’s. The family bonding had an immense influence, instruction and guidance provided me the character, charm, and a personality to grasp fine art elements and designs.
Paying attention to every detail, from the observation point of view to the intricacies of creating fine master piece and everything in between. At my early age as growing kid, I had the priviledge to meet numerous famous artists that my mother studied under. Luckily, to my surprise, even met Mr. Walter Elias Disney- The American entrepreneur, animator, writer, voice actor, and film producer of all time. Parallelly introduced to innovative subject matter experts from various creative backgrounds like Geomorphologists, Desert Ecologists and Oceanographers.
I spent my weekends on trips into the back country of San Diego County, watching my artistic mother creating her fine art and explaining her about her craftmanship. You could say, I learned my skills through osmosis and my passion for art continued to grow into my adult years. Now retired here in Pollock Pines, a perfect place to practice my artistic endeavors and bring the beauty of experienced art and photography to people who enjoy nature life and world around us.
Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.
